There’s something truly powerful about choosing Canadian-made.
In this blog, Diane and Kerosene share their favourite homegrown brands; companies that reflect our values and vision. Each one is committed to local manufacturing, high-quality natural ingredients, and thoughtful craftsmanship. For us, it’s about doing things the right way, not simply chasing those dollars.
These brands are founded by local entrepreneurs and independent makers, and supporting them helps ensure they continue to thrive in an industry often dominated by mass production. Consider this your invitation to discover products that feel good on your skin, and even better knowing they’re made right here in Canada!

Kerosene's Top Pick: Unify Complexion Multi Pencil. A versatile pencil that's great for on the go. It can be used to conceal, highlight, prime the eyes and more.

Rocky Mountain Soap Company
Based in Alberta, this brand handcrafts toxin-free bath and skincare and with an emphasis on natural ingredients.
Kerosene's Top Pick: Their lemongrass soap bars and bath bombs. They smell divine!
Beauty Through Balance (by Ancient Secrets)
Beauty Through Balance offers a spa line rooted in holistic, therapeutic care, using sustainably harvested Pacific seaweed, wild chaga mushroom, and Canadian glacial clay from British Columbia’s northern coast.
Kerosene's Top Pick: Absolutely obsessed with their Green Tea Indian Spice Body Serum, which I slather on religiously every night. It smells heavenly and makes your skin so soft and glowy. The Pacific Seaweed Facial Moisturizer is also phenomenal and very soothing on the skin. It smells like a fancy spa.

MisMacK Clean Cosmetics
If you haven’t heard of MisMacK Clean Cosmetics yet, you’re in for a treat. Founded by makeup artist Missy MacIntosh in Salmon Arm, BC, her goal was simple: create clean, high-quality products that actually work. And she’s nailed it, her line has won awards in Canada and beyond, making it a must-try for anyone who loves beauty that’s safe, effective, and made with care.
Kerosene's Top Pick: The Art Eyeshadows, I love that they are sold individually so you can build your own palette instead of buying ready made ones where you'll only use a couple of shades and waste the rest.
Jack 59
Another indigenous-owned company creating all natural, ph-balanced, plastic free and cruelty free products in Edmonton, Alberta. They are best known for their haircare products, especially their shampoo and conditioner bars, which are wonderful.
Kerosene's Top Pick: The Restore Shampoo and Conditioner bars. I feel like it really made a difference when I was experiences hair loss due to illness and hormonal changes.

Hair products made without the parabens and drying sulfates that traditional brands contain. Combining nature and science, they select the highest quality ingredients to develop formulas that deliver results. I've switched all my haircare to these products because these smell wonderful and work great for my curly, frizzy hair.
Diane's Top Picks: Colour Savour Shampoo and conditioner and Re:coil Curl activator and frizz tamer.

Beauty from Bees
Naturally handcrafted products made without synthetic fragrances, only pure essential oils. Probiotic and antioxidant infused for health and skin benefits.
Diane's Top Pick: Natural Mascara is every bit as good as my 'old' mascara brands but with 100% natural ingredients. It's safe for sensitive eyes: Free from toxins, synthetics, and irritants. Also gentle enough for contact lens wearers!
