If you've been part of the Cherry Velvet family for a while, and especially if you ever popped into our former Vancouver showroom, you might remember a certain lovely lady named Kim.
Kim wasn’t just a customer; she was a Cherry Velvet fan long before she ever joined the team. Her love for our dresses was so real, we just had to bring her on board! We hired her as our Social Media Manager and for three fabulous months, we got to soak up her positive vibes in the office.
Then, cue the dramatic twist, Kim’s boyfriend got transferred to Penticton, and just like that, she was off on a new adventure. We were heartbroken to say goodbye, but she’s stayed a loyal Cherry Velvet supporter (and friend!) ever since. We still miss her sparkle around here!

And now… we're thrilled to introduce something extra special: The Kim Dress!
Yup, we named our newest style after the one and only. It’s a tribute to someone who brought so much joy to our team. The Kim dress is available in eight fabulous prints, some of which came from our recent naming contest, and others were handpicked by Diane herself. (She personally came up with the sassy “Zesty Zinnias” print name, how fun is that?)
As always, our dresses are 100% Made in Canada, crafted with care at local factories right here in Vancouver, BC. We’re proud to support Canadian-made fashion and to keep things close to home.
We’re still in touch with Kim, who’s happily living in Penticton and still rocking her Cherry Velvet collection with flair. She’s also an active part of her local community, taking part in festivals and working with the local theatre group.
Thanks for being such a special part of our story, Kim. You’ll always be part of the Cherry Velvet family!
